The IT Systems Specialist will be performing junior level sysadmin activities associated with configuring, installing, supporting, and maintaining the physical corporate network and associated enterprise level applications.
This position requires proven network hardware and software troubleshooting skills, ability to follow directions, and excellent communication skills to facilitate high network availability and top level customer service to our end users.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assist the Systems Administrator with support, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades to the corporate network and enterprise SaaS application integrations.
Resolve all network hardware/software issues or perform escalation to the appropriate resource.
Clearly and effectively communicate in a timely and respectful manner with IT staff and end users.
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, security, and latency).
Contribute to network policies, procedures, and end user training in accordance with corporate cyber security framework.
Monitor and report on backup infrastructure health.
Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while still maintaining a high level of customer service.
Help identify and execute solutions to streamline IT operations and end user experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Strong knowledge of Windows 10-11.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008 - 2022 and associated roles.
Experience deploying, managing, supporting, and installing a variety of software applications.
Strong knowledge and experience with VMware ESXi or similar hypervisor.
Management experience of Active Directory and Group Policy.
Strong knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
Advanced network troubleshooting including DHCP, DNS, IP/subnets, VLAN and routing.
Experience deploying, maintaining, and configuring servers, switches, and other related networkhardware.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and investigate independently.
Self-motivated and clearly focused on the tasks assigned.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
Excellent customer service and dedicated team player.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3
years of network design, support, and maintenance.
3
years of network hardware scoping and implementation.
Experience with network security hardware configuration and maintenance.
Certifications in networking, Microsoft server administration, VMware administration, and orsecurity highly desired.
