This position will focus on new hire training, though time will also be spent ensuring current employees are performing tasks correctly.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as the chaperon for job applicants and administers pre-employment tests.
Receives and files applicant and new hire paperwork Gives new hire orientations, which include presentations from HR and Safety.
Gives new hire a building tour and introduces them to department managers Trains new production employees using ASC's training agendas Ensures employees are working safely, and emphasizes the importance of working safely in training classes Patiently guides employees to successful completion of their training by maintaining a positive, can-do attitude Monitors progress of all new hire trainees daily, gives guidance, and documents heir status Provides verbal feedback on applicants and new hires to production managers, and provides written feedback in Appward.
Works with management to update training that is incomplete or out-of-date Assists the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in designing new training programs Provides re-training of employees when necessary May perform other duties as requested by management.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Works closely with Human Resources, the Production Trainer, production managers, and the Director of Production to improve training and provide feedback on employee performance.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must have 1 or more years of experience mentoring, training, or supervising employees, or a demonstrated interest in training.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership skills Positive and inspiring attitude Comfortable speaking to groups Proficient at reading and understanding training presentations and work instructions Must be able to type at least 35 WPM Job Type:
