Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roofing Project Manager to join our team.
As a Roofing Project Manager, you will be responsible for estimating, coordinating, and overseeing large-scale roofing projects in both the commercial and residential sectors.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects by providing accurate cost estimates, managing subcontractors, and ensuring quality standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial roofing, consulting, cost estimating, and hands-on roofing work.
Commercial Projects:
Generate detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including labor, materials, and time requirements.
Conduct site visits to inspect existing materials, gather data on materials and labor costs, and assess project needs.
Create cost comparisons using historical data from similar projects.
Solicit cost estimates from contractors and evaluate their proposals.
Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Perform quality checks on subcontractors to ensure work meets specifications.
Residential Projects:
Prepare work for estimation by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Review historical data and reports to assess unit and labor calculations.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements based on proposals and specifications.
Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Attend pre-bid meetings and review proposals to determine project scope and estimate.
Track and manage awarded contracts, including change orders, additions, and materials.
Prepare reports summarizing information and trends for project evaluation.
Maintain a cost database and working documents to support estimate figures.
Conduct roof surveys, assess client requirements, and collect necessary data for project planning Provide technical support and guidance to personnel as required.
Perform quality checks on subcontractors to ensure work meets specifications.
Education, Skills, and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (technical training and experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, cost control, and/or engineering in the commercial roofing industry.
Minimum 5 years of experience in field installation.
A strong and comprehensive knowledge base of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, cost control systems, data analysis, and strategic planning.
Ability to estimate a variety of projects/contracts under strict deadlines.
Ability to manage and oversee group work related to projects.
