In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining CNC programs, creating new programs, and optimizing existing ones.

Essential Job
Responsibilities:
Write, develop, and edit CNC programs in conjunction with continuous improvementsPlan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Create Programming instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
Occasionally set up and operate CNC equipment as needed.
Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts producedRead Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within specified tolerance.
Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
High School diploma or GED required.
A minimum of 5 years experience in CNC programming Experience programming 5 Axis vertical and horizontal mill machines.
Must have knowledge of high temp alloy metals such as titanium, Inconel, aluminum and stainless steelsMust be proficient in CATIA V5Coordinates with engineering and manufacturing staff to resolve issues regarding manufacturability of designsMust have working knowledge of 3D solid modeling concepts and design skills.
