We are currently searching for a highly motivated Portfolio Manager who will be the independent central coordination lead ensuring that all projects and programs within the Holland America Group Infrastructure Technology department are well managed and that the project goals are achieved in alignment with expectations.

Align strategies and roadmap of the project portfolio; lead the governance processes to identify, evaluate, plan and implement IT projects and investments.
Manage Direct reports and the portfolios they manage. Getting directly involved on resolving critical issues to develop strategic and tactical solutions as needed.
Direct all services provided to the business, including processes for the efficient tracking and reporting of services to the business, payments to vendors, budget estimation, tracking and reconciliation. Adhere to the System Development Methodology and Project Management processes and procedures.
Define project scope and objectives and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
Conduct project meetings and produce meeting minutes and issues logs.
Produce risk analysis and risk mitigation plans.
Effectively build and manage project budgets.
Interface with all areas affected by the project.
Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations and the integration of vendor tasks into the work plan. Track and review vendor deliverables.
Ensure adherence to Project Management Process, Systems Development Methodology and quality standards for producing project deliverables.
Provide project management, technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
Progress complex project schedules, identify and manage the project's critical path, proactively identifying and escalating risks to project's schedule, budget or quality.
Track project expenses, forecasting future spend, calculating estimates-at-complete and proactively advising of forecasted variances along with proposed corrective action.
Manage a team of resources through all phases of the systems development life cycle including the production of deliverables associated with advancing through the phases.
Manage multiple major projects simultaneously utilizing standard project management processes as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Review vendor's statements of work for completeness and relevance to project objectives.
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 10 years overall experience in information technology infrastructure implementations.
5 - 8 years of experience in IT implementing and supporting mixed, complex environments and solutions.
Proficient in applying quality methodologies across project engagements, to escalate issues effectively, plan succession and rotations, and to actively participate in transition activities
MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience supporting the whole lifecycle of infrastructure implementations, infrastructure lifecycle management, IT governance plan, IT Service catalog and standards.
Excellent verbal and written communications. Intermediate fluency in Italian and/or German and/or Spanish are pluses.
Available for up to 25% travel, domestic and international.
Formal training and certification in the system development life cycle and project management.
PMP or PgMP certification.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
