Princess Cruises ? We are currently searching for a highly motivated Asset Librarian who will manage Princess Cruises' marketing assets ? still photography, graphics and video - throughout their lifecycle, from creation/purchase through distribution and retirement/archive. Reporting directly to the Manager of Creative Strategy, this person is THE expert on all Princess Cruises assets, where they can be found, where they can be used, how they can be used, who can use them, what they depict, etc. He/she is responsible for all aspects of the asset lifecycle and for ensuring that PCL adheres to any and all usage agreements.

Responsibilities
Lead management and optimization of digital asset library with minimal supervision
Lead cross-departmental teams in the development of a process for creating/retouching/cataloging/ingesting/distributing library assets. Get buy-in from stakeholders ? managers, directors and VPs as appropriate - for the process, and maintain/communicate the process to all administrators and users
Lead global and business area-specific library administrators in the standardization and optimization of library management and asset catalog practices (uploads, meta-tagging, determining usage restrictions, etc.)
Manage library contents day-to-day
Manage content vendors - creators and/or providers such as photographers, videographers, agencies, other departments or stock houses - in acquisition, tracking and archiving of all relevant assets and their identifying and usage information
Analyze and report on usage and user experience and make recommendations for ongoing improvements
Maintain ongoing dialogue with users inter- and intra-departmentally, at agencies, vendors, media, industry partners and across our global offices to assess efficacy of user experience and identify areas for improvement
Manage relationship with DAM SAAS provider
Manage asset acquisition strategy and track asset creation, retouching, calendar and ROI against corporate and marketing goals
Make strategic recommendations annually to creative management on asset creation as well as process optimization and cost cutting opportunities
Assist with shoot management as needed, from working with designers to define photo shoot shot lists and schedules to assisting with photo shoot producing
Lead Ocean asset acquisition and production
Work with marketing managers to assess asset needs and develop an acquisition and production schedule
Track all asset needs and their statuses and analyze and report on scope, needs and progress on a weekly basis
Collaborate intra-departmentally to find/create/acquire and process required assets
Requirements
College Degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Marketing or related area
3 to 5 years of experience as an Art Director or Designer
3 to 5 years of experience managing large asset libraries/databases
Collaborative, proactive, independent thinker able to work well in an extremely fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Attention to detail and organizational skills, strong communication skills and excellent English-language skills a must
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Familiarity with DropBox and other web-based file sharing applications
Must be comfortable learning and utilizing new digital tools and technology
Experience producing photo/video shoots a plus
Familiarity of and affinity for geography/travel a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
