Director, Performance Excellence

The Director for Performance Excellence is responsible for working with the executive leadership team to plan, lead and deploy the organizational strategy for performance excellence through the Henry Mayo Management System. As an effective and active partner with the executive leadership team, this position will lead in the development of a vision for the future including: transformational change and priority setting, specifically, the further development of an organizational culture which is open to and empowers innovation, creativity, problem solving and learning at all levels of the organization. Additionally, the Director facilitates the planning and execution of plans which are consistent with our strategic imperatives: be great at what matters most to our patients; be great at what matters most to our healthcare team; stay financially strong; grow with care; improve daily; be responsive to the needs of the community.
The Director will have direct oversight of the Decision Support and Performance Improvement departments and will lead the development of organizational capacity and competence in strategy deployment, data analysis and performance improvement methodologies. In addition, the Director will closely partner with other departments to support deployment of strategy through the management system. She/He will also collaborate in the planning and teaching of leadership development programs. In addition, the Director will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of performance improvement-related accreditation and regulation standards, compliance and business ethics standards and department policies and procedures. They will be a role model for the Henry Mayo Way of patient, employee, partner and community engagement. Licensure and Certification: N/A Education: Master's degree required Experience: Minimum five (5) years of healthcare leadership experience Minimum five (5) years' experience leading transformational change Five to ten (5-10) years training and experience in performance improvement methodologies Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrates and applies leadership and management theories, principles, practices, techniques and methods to create and maintain a high-functioning, engaged team; Effective oral, written and presentation skills; Ability to interact and collaborate with all level of the organization, including the Medical Staff, Advocate and facilitator for continuous improvement, Superior Critical Reasoning/Thinking skills, Ability to prioritize and effectively execute to achieve goals, Problem solving skills: Ability to identify a problem, draw valid conclusions, implement and manage appropriate resolutions. Report Analysis: Able to develop, compile and analyze statistical reports. Able to monitor overall performance of assigned tasks, Able to develop and retain staff, Provide best in class customer service.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
