Princess Cruises ? We are currently searching for a highly motivated Specialist, International Public Relations who will support Asia offices with consumer and media communications initiatives that raise the Princess Cruises brand profile (awareness and consideration) throughout the regions and in other international markets. Support the local offices' sales, marketing, public relations, social media and content creation strategies and objectives. Share best practices with Asia region PR colleagues.Reporting directly to the Director of Public Relations, this person provides support to the local office PR team with collaboration with the local PR agency. Position has day-to-day authority for initiative management but consults with directors, vice president and director of international marketing on program development and strategy.

Collaborates with internal brand marketing team and local PR/marketing teams to support the development of innovative programs and newsworthy initiatives for each market.
Support the development of press materials including news releases, message houses, media presentations, key messages, etc. Collaborates with local PR team or agency to translate as required.
Ensures all PR teams have appropriate media assets including press materials, ship fact sheets, message houses, backgrounders, images and b-roll. Distributes all head office news releases to each Asia country office for information purposes or localization and distribution as appropriate.
Collaborates with head office marketing team for most accurate product/program information in support of local team responding to media requests with messaging for information guidance.
Collaborates with local team to plan and execute in-port media event schedule as recommended by PR team and country office in each market.
Oversees the successful delivery of major shoreside and shipboard press events, e.g. new season announcements, etc.
Guides team on all communication and coordination with the ship. Works with shoreside departments and ships to plan and deliver an excellent in-port experience for media.
Oversees the schedule and local market implementation for first call events in each port as ships travel through the region for the first time.
Represents Princess and attends key events, if needed, and works with local PR team to prioritize media and executive interaction.
Supervises annual FAM cabin allocation for each market, and equips local PR team with resources and support to host press trips/TV shoots and other onboard publicity events.
Support teams in vetting, scheduling and planning special shoots for publicity (non-paid) content creation in support of local office PR strategy. Collaborates with HQ international marketing team to support (paid) content creation projects.
Supervises annual FAM cabin allocation for each market, and equips local PR team with resources and support to host press trips/TV shoots and other onboard publicity events.
Manages the head office annual PR budget for the international markets.
Collects and aggregates media results for each initiative from each market, determines ROI for PR spend, and makes recommendations for future programs.
Serves as secondary contact for Asia office PR agency resources and supports local team in leveraging agency to ensure they are aligned on strategies, priorities and goals.
Contributes to big idea brainstorm and initiative planning for in-market agencies.
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field required
Three to five years of professional experience in public relations, communications or related fields like journalism, social media, content creation or marketing
Master Degree preferred
Travel industry or consumer lifestyle brands experience preferred although not required
PR agency experience is valued but not required
Experience working in Asia markets; considerable experience in Asian cultures as a resident preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships with media
Experience navigating Asia media / social media landscape and ability to guide editorial ideas and pitching
Strong project and event management track record; ability to manage several projects at once and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced working environment
Experience collaborating with outside PR and social media marketing firms
Experienced at planning and tactical execution of publicity plans, product or program launches
Available to travel internationally frequently from Los Angeles through-out Asia
Proficient on most popular social media platforms used through-out Asia (and North America)
Proficient in Chinese (Mandarin) language (speaking and writing)
Proficient in English language, as second-language (speaking and writing)
Proficient in PC computer business applications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
